It was the longest three minutes of my life. |
As i watched the daylight flash between the carriages of the train that was tearing & crushing my limbs into an unidentifiable mass of flesh & blood. The physical pain was to lead me on the root to my future.I came to see the loss of two limbs & a managled right leg leaving me with only one good limb, a challenge. " The world owes no favours and I ask for none, life is what you make it " |

Two years after the accident at the tender age of 12, Neil began singing and started the journey to where he is today. Encouraged by his parents and with no vocal training Neil started to make a name for himself. |

Neil spent large amounts of time in hospital which severley disrupted his school attendance and he left school without qualifications. Once in the workplace Neil had to adapt his senses to watch and learn, something Neil became very adept at. Supported by his devoted parents Rita & Bill, Neil decided singing was going to be his main career, but not his only one. Neil worked his way up to a Chef, an Auctioneer & an Entertainment Agent. |

Early into his singing career Neil won many awards, Blackpool command performance. Best Yorkshire vocalist. Clubland Entertainer of the Year. Northwest Entertainer of the Year. |
There is an old saying that a man is not a man until he has had a daughter, well Neil is the proud father of 6 daughters. Four daughters are from previous marriages and two from his beautiful Ukrainian wife Anjia. |

In the year 2000 Neil suffered a nervous breakdown. This was due in part to the breakup with his then fiancee Angela. Around the time of the breakup his ex wife would not allow him to see or speak to his wonderful daughters Kelly & Emma. Neil felt that the world around him was seemingly destroyed. Neil remembered his own words from the time of the accident, " the world owes no favours & I ask for none, life is what you make it ". With those words in mind Neil moved to Spain to work. Using his management skills Neil started a show called Neil St John's A Night to Remember. This is where he met his wife Anjia. Anjia a singer & dancer herself gave Neil an even greater opportunity to travel the world, performing greater & bigger songs from the shows. Neil has a vocal range second to none and he effortlessly performs songs from artists such as Mario Lanza to Meatloaf. Over the years Neil has worked with some amazing vocalists & acts such as Gladys Knight, Joe Longthorn, Russell Watson, Frank Carson as well as being lifelong friends with people such as Gene Pitney and David Alexander.Neil even had his leg pulled by the Grumbleweeds a few times, until it came off ( sorry Neil I couldn't resist that one...Tiny ). |
